Why Lake Oswego?
I want to talk about Lake Oswego because there are tons of beautiful homes and because I’m from Lake Oswego. I can confirm that it is as beautiful as it looks in the pictures and so many memories can be made here. The homes in Lake Oswego are so beautiful, and I am going to pick 3 of the most extraordinary homes. To be clear, these homes are the biggest and most expensive in Lake Oswego, not all homes in Lake Oswego are this insane.
What’s in Lake Oswego?
Lake Oswego is a small town but has so much to offer. The summer times in Lake Oswego are the best because all of Lake Oswegos best features can be best enjoyed. There’s the lake, which is private to residents but if you live in Lake Oswego it’s likely that you know someone that lives on the lake. There are also easements for specific neighborhoods that aren’t on the lake but are given access. There’s the river, which anybody can use and is always a hot spot in the summer. The river is great because there are so many different spots you can go to. Downtown Lake Oswego is by far one of the selling points in Lake Oswego. It was recently renovated and is a very attractive spot with restaurants, ice cream shops, boutiques, and more. Every summer there’s a farmer’s market located at Millenium Plaza Park which is centrally located downtown. Lake Oswego is definitely a spendy city, but once you visit and see for yourself the pricing makes a lot more sense.
Jantzen Island
Jantzen island is an island on the Lake that is a historic property and very few renovation requests are approved. This property gives the residents a whole island to themselves for lots of privacy and protection. It can only be accessed via a bridge with a gate code. There are a very limited amount of photos of the home but see the photos of the property yourself here. On top of the huge private property, there’s a lakeside pool and hot tub, a boat garage, and just so much land that I wouldn’t ever leave. It doesn’t show the price anywhere but some sources say that it last went for $20 million. I’ve seen this house and property before and it is unreal. When looking at it from the lake, it looks like a castle
4101 SouthShore Blvd, Lake Oswego, 97034
This is a newly renovated property that is going for 9.9 million listed by LUXE Forbes Global Properties. This house blows me away because it is almost 6,000 sq ft and has so much land around it. It is right on the lake and has a pool. There’s so much land around the house that it feels very private and safe. This house would make me feel like I am on vacation all the time. I have actually passed this house before when on the lake before it started being renovated and it was still amazing. The amount of land, space, and privacy is enough for me regardless of the home. The house has always been beautiful, just needed to be updated. You can check out this amazing home here.
1500 North Shore Rd, Lake Oswego, 97034
I chose this house because every single time I pass it on the lake I am in awe. This house is so big and has everything you could possibly ask for. It is not on the market, but it is listed at $8.61 million and is 13,462 sq ft. The property has a beautiful lawn, a lakefront infinity pool, a boat garage, and an amazing interior. I would take this house in a heartbeat. I personally love this home because of how big it is, there’s so much space and so many different rooms such as a movie theater, a gym, a game room, and more. This house is great because it’s not sunny all year round in Oregon, so in the off seasons, there’s still a lot to do in the house. Click here to see this beautiful home.
